This was her own little secret mission. She had to help those people on the beach and she couldnt help herself be exposed. She knew that if she took Nate along, he was going to mess it up. She had to do it alone and she had to be..... what word had her mom taught her, "agile". She was in her room and she aldready had what s she wanted. She had one long nightgown that belonged to Aunt Mahogany a survivor from her mother's time who was one of the first to be abducted. The day before she had talked Lawrence into giving her details of what could be used for a cut. She told his that she had a huge cut on her inner thigh and she dint want to show it to him.

Robyn made sure that her brother was working on the weapons with the others. Max and Nate were both engaged in their own little activity of fixing something for Nates sister. Everyones guard was down. She just met Lawrence on the stairs who inquired where she was going with the dress, "Im going to the waterfall for a nice swim. will be back soon. dont worry".

Robyn dint go to the waterfall, neither did she go directly to the beach but she neared the swampy area where the green plants that dint need much sunlight grew. After a bit she found what she was looking for. Her hand reached the back of her pants and she withdrew her knife. A knife she always carried and made sure every night that it was sharpened. She cut the leaves she wanted and then she began running towards the beach.

Robyn was carrying a bag with her, a human bag. It was one of the things that passed from her mother to her and she had even tied her hair well today. Her blonde hair were curly and unmanageble, but she had spent the whole morning fixing it. She never wore shoes but her plan was to mingle with the rest and she could not afford to be caught. So she had grabbed one of Nate's pairs. They were loose and she could hardly walk in them.

Robyn walked till the edge of the beach fearlessly and then she paused. One step ahead and she was one among them. She stepped in between and they were all split in groups talking among themselves. She dint find the girl anywhere but the boy with the cut was unmissable. He was around the same area, near the fire he had lit the previous night. She walked towards him. Thankfully no one was staring at her.

When she was a little bit away, she paused. A little unsure whether this was a good idea after all, she fumbled, "Ummm Hi... My name is Robyn". She was filled with so much fear that she couldnt think straight. She was going to be okay, she told herself. This was the first time she was talking to an outsider but they were all atleast humans.

Robyn dint say a word as the other guy asked her to sit beside him. She couldn't risk staying here for for long. He told her that she was safe with him and that amazed her because a week after the big crash, he was being brave and helping other. And besides the confidence in his voice almost made her believe him. Even though she dint say anything, she smiled.

Something you need to talk about?, she was staring at his boxer shorts which were so different then what Nate and her brother wore that it amused her. Her face snapped up, her eyes met his and her cheeks were slightly red. "I need to show you something... Will you come with me?", she was still looking into his eyes but she forwarded her right hand towards him.

She waited for a mini second and before he could decide what he wanted to do, she started walking towards the other side of the island which had a small path leading off the beach to the forrest. She walked right towards it, before she could step into the forrest and looked back at the boy.

Robyn walked through the woods using her hands to brush aside the thorny bushes. She paused when he asked her if it was sure. She turned to face him and smiled. "This is where I feel safe, not on the beach", she smiled. Seeing the look on his face she nodded her head, "Look. I know this is all new and confusing. This forest is as unknown to me as it is to you but Ill tell you a little secret. My mom always told me - unless you face it, you can never defeat the unknown. Common...".

She walked a little more deeper in but not too much into the forest. Then she stopped and brought her hand up asking him to stop too. She pointed towards a type of plant that grew in between the big shrubs. "That plant is called cybella. It should heal your wounds. It can also be used for when food makes you fall in", she dint know that the word was 'food poisoning'.

She took some leaves out of her jeans pocket and opened her hand so he could see it. She searched the ground for a huge rock, placed it on the rock and used another smaller rock to crush it. "Just crush it till you can feel the liquid of the leaves and then rub it", she explained. Robyn got up and walked towards him. She brought the crushed leaves towards the scar on his forehead and paused, "May I?". He was handsome even with his scar, she observed.

Robyn kept that emotionless eyes of hers on his scar but her eyes were dancing. For her this was so much fun. For 18 years of her life, she had been living for a day when she would finally have something to live for. Some of her friends dint like and never wanted them to be found while others wanted to explore other islands. She had quiet a different craving.

She took few steps closer to him careful enough to maintain the little space between them so that she could be sure that he wasn't being too smart. He looked scared in the forest. That was her territory so she wasnt worried too much. Besides, the composure of this man dint look aggressive or defensive either.

She was quiet as she brought her hand to the scar concentrating on the exact form of the scar. She lightly rubbed it and paid attention to his question, "Like most of the good things, as my mother told me, it will be cool and soothing at first. Then after a few hours... maybe 6-7 its effect fades away. Thats when you will want to replace it". When she was done, she showed him her hand which was sticky because of the liquid excretion of the leaf. She picked up other few leafs and wiped her hand clean.

She then stepped backward and looked at him again. She looked at him curiously. It might look stupid but she wanted to see if there was anything different about him from the other guys. She noticed that he was shirtless and then remembered what was in her bag, "Oh I brought something for your other... girlfriend". She withdrew the gown that she had picked up, "I had this bag with me in the plane. You can give it to her. She will have clothes to wear now.".

Showing herself to one person was one thing and making her presence felt before few others was something totally different. So when the boy urged her to meet his girlfriend whose name she learnt was Grace, Robyn snapped back quickly, "No! I cant... I dont want to talk to her". There was slight fear in her eyes. Not the fear of meeting these strange people but she feared that if this matter reached her brother, he would be upset with her and she would not be permitted to go out of the cave.

She looked back at him and realized that she needed to give him some story. Something he would beleive. She took a breath feeling nervous, "I dont like any of them. I dont feel safe with them. So I live in this forest but close to the beach. I am not afraid of the forest. If you ever want to meet me again then just leave me something by this tree". She would come and check it. Robyn pointed to big tree behind him which was in a peculiar shape from the rest.

It was time to go. She couldnt risk being here long enough. "I have to go now. Please dont try to find me. If you need help, I'll find you", she started into his eyes with a small warning. Before she could dissapear among the trees she murmurred sotly, "Dont go any deeper than this. It could be dangerous". Ten she turned and ran among the trees in a ciss cross manner so he coundn't find her.

Robyn was going to increase her speed as he felt him behind her but he was faster. She felt him catch her shoulder and she turned around in a jerk. Her face was creased with several lines of frustration as he stopped her and what he asked made her frown, what do you know? She tried to free her shoulder from his grip. It wasnt too tight and she managed to yank it free as he kept on wooing her to tell.

You can trust me, and she did! That was the very reason why she was here. She stopped and turned to face him completely. Her voice was unsure as she explained, "My friends... they have gone missing. There is something int he forest thats taken them. I dont know what it is". She tried to keep the pain about her parents being abducted out of her eyes.

She knew she had spoken too much. She looked up at him, "I am going to trust you. You cant tell anyone I met you".

Robyn wasn't sure if she could give him the answers he wanted. She still wasnt sure why she had come all the way to help him. She had never ever acted out of her league before this. But she just nodded. She couldnt promise him but she knew that this was the only way he was going to let her go. "Maybe...", she steped backwards.

"Please, trust me for now. Dont tell anyone about me but if you need any help, you know where to find me", she turned and this time she was faster than ever before. She dint stop to breathe till she had run for 15 minutes straight and she hit a log and fell down falt on the rocky ground.
